The contact form asks for a name, an email address, a subject and a message. Nothing else is requested and nothing is inferred.

We use those details for one purpose: to read your message and reply to it. The basis is your consent, given by the checkbox on the contact page, and our legitimate interest in answering correspondence.

Correspondence is kept while a matter is open and for up to twenty-four months afterwards, so that a correction can be traced back to its source. After that it is deleted.

Our host records ordinary access logs, which include an IP address, the page requested and a timestamp. They exist for security and for keeping the site running, and they are held for a short period by the host.

There is no analytics of any kind on this site. No trackers, no advertising pixels, no third-party cookies, no fingerprinting and no profiling.

The site stores nothing in your browser: no cookies, no local storage, no session storage. The single script on the site opens and closes the menu, and does nothing else.

Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to that service when a page loads.

The site is served by a hosting provider acting on our instructions, and email reaches us through a mail provider. Both act as processors and neither uses your message for their own purposes.

Where a processor is outside your own country, the transfer rests on the standard contractual clauses or on an equivalent legal instrument.

You may ask for access to your data, for its correction, for its deletion, for a restriction of its use, and for a copy in a portable form. You may withdraw consent at any time. Write to editors@socialoakvalley.com.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority where you live.
